Accent Accent Magazine is a digital publication devoted to contemporary literature, visual art, performance, design, and interdisciplinary cultural practice, with a special focus on bilingual and diasporic voices across China, Asia, and the global creative scene.

The magazine publishes book reviews, in-depth interviews with writers and artists, original artworks, critical essays, and selected scripts from the Accent Podcast. It operates in a continuous, open-ended publishing format.

About Accent Sisters

Accent Accent was founded in 2018 New York by Na Zhong and Jiaoyang Li. Initially a writing community for diaspora writers working in English, it has blossomed into an Academy offering creative writing classes and consultations, a Bookstore carrying multilingual literary and art books, a bilingual Publishing House discovering original, imaginative, and authentic voices, and an Art Gallery with a focus on multidisciplinary art.

All our projects are tied together by one mission: to connect and empower marginalized and diasporic creatives, to build a space for stereotype-defying, boundary-pushing works.
